I really like to shop for winter; it’s just my favourite season of all time. However I do think it’s important to bring a bit of summer into your winter wardrobe. A pop of colour makes you stand out, but also cheers everyone up around you (including yourself). I share 3 little tips that will make a huge difference.
Tip 1: Wear pastel
Coat: Topshop, Sweater:Alexander Lewis , Scarf: ASOS, Skirt: Roland Mouret
It’s no secret anymore that you can rock pastel in winter. Pastel blue and pink jackets were huge last season and are going to be this season. So go for it! If you think a pastel coat is to much? Opt for a nice scarf or some oxford shoes in a pastel pink. Success guaranteed.
Tip 2: Flower power
Skirt: Fizer, Scarf: Joules Wensley, Left dress: Marc By Marc Jacobs, Right dress: Topshop
What reminds you more of spring and summer than flowers? The colours, shapes, sizes and styles are endlessly, so it’s impossible not to find a kind you like. I love a flower skirt printed, but they can also be amazing on sweaters, jackets, scarfs, blouses and dresses. Choose a garment you like and combine it with some monotone colours.
Tip 3: Add a pop of colour
Skirt: ASOS, Bag: Burberry Prorsum, Shoes: Gianvito Rosso, Coat: ASOS
Just add a pop of colour to your outfit! Just imagine the colours you see on a Roy Lichtenstein painting. If you wear an all black outfit and just add a red scarf or handbag you go from mainstream to original. It’s not that hard at all and it brings a nice refreshment.
Try to leave your comfort zone and go on a ‘fashion adventure’. But don’t forget to stay true to yourself!
