OLÉ for the Espadrille

We aren’t the first ones to love this type of shoe; in fact Espadrilles have been made in Catalonia (Spain) since the14the century. The combination of the jute sole and the canvas is a match made in heaven. The fact that you can vary with the type, pattern and colour of the canvas endlessly every Espadrille is unique. Also the sole is something to vary with. From a platform sole, to a rather flat one or a wedge. The list never stops.

Another plus is the price and distribution; you can find them everywhere, for every budget. But that also means you can see a huge difference in quality. Some ‘Espadrilles’ aren’t worth the name. I don’t say there is anything wrong with a pair that only costs 10 euros, I have a few pairs myself (they are so tempting to buy…). But once you buy a better quality, you never want to go back. However we still can’t deny the fact that even if they are cheap or expensive an Espadrille is one of the best all-rounders of all time. You can pair some simple ones with an experimental look, or either use a colourful pair to spice up your outfit. I have chosen different types of espadrilles that re suitable for every occasion, person or budget. I hope you like them as much as I do. So there is only one thing left to ask: are you a follower or not? I certainly am!
