The 10 basics every woman needs

Basic what? That may be a reaction of an extravagant fashionista, but she also needs to have them. A stylish woman is nothing without a few solid basics. They are real investment pieces, but last forever. It may cost you your last penny, but just buy that perfect fitting black blazer. There are ten items you can call the ‘guilt-free’ buy. They actually don’t as a purchase; you have to see them as an investment. Of course made out of fabric, buttons and zippers, but still not to be underestimated. 1: A solid Blazer; timeless, casual, chic, sophisticated and feminine. Do pay attention on the fit; the better it fits the nicer it looks.

2: The Little Black Dress; Coco Chanel made this the number one must-have in every woman’s closet. You can endlessly vary with this one. Just make sure it fits your figure properly. You can wear this either casual or chic.

3: A white blouse; you can go for a classic one, worn under your blazer. But a nice boho / embroidered blouse is just as good (or even better). It is one of the most amazing clothing pieces: so pretty and versatile!

4: A pair of skinny jeans; don’t need to say a lot about it, you just need them.

5: A pair of converse; you can say sneakers in general, but let’s admit we always go back to the good old converse. High or low, solid or with a print you really can’t go wrong.

6: A jeans/leather jacket; I can’t really decide on this one. The fact is you have jeans jacket lovers and you have leather jacket lovers. You also have those who love both, but most of the people still prefer one of the two. For me it’s the jeans jacket, just because it fits my style way better.

Leather jacket: Mango

7: A nice leather belt; this may sound strange, but it really is important. It makes your outfit and when the quality is poor it just breaks your outfit.

8: A summer hat; hats know a real revival (finally!) and you need to have at least one. You may opt for a summer hat; it’s pretty and protects you from the sun (= multifunctional).

9: A killer pair of boots; leather, flat, high heel, knee-high, ankle high or with a fringe. No discussion about it: you need them! They are my go-to in winter and I always look forward wearing them.

10: A nice handbag; black or brown leather, in a nice shape and the perfect size. It’s very personal but everyone will sooner or later find the perfect one. Just make sure that the quality is good, as it has to go true a lot, and that you pay the right price. Expensive doesn’t always mean high quality.
