Hi everyone!
So this is my second article in the trends series for next fashion season. Today I am going to talk about velvet. This is a quite a hard one for me. I really can’t make up if I either like or don’t like the material. This season it’s definitely making a comeback on the runways, but I am curious to know if we are also going to see it in street style.

It’s definitely an edgy thing to wear and I don’t think a lot of people can pull it of. It’s something for confident people who like to take risks. Of course there are also velvet options that don’t ask a lot of courage and still make your outfit look edgy. I am talking about accessories, scarves or nice ballet flats.

I think the Saint Laurent jackets are absolutely amazing. How they pair the embellishments with the velvet is just phenomenal. The pearls make me think of fireworks.

I also adore the Giorgio Armani trousers, especially the blue colour.

The blue Calvin Klein dress is also beautiful and the fact that you can barely see it’s velvet may be a good thing. It's a suttle hint to the trend.

The new women dress gives me a very medieval feeling and I quite like it. I don’t think I would wear it myself, but the tailoring is just amazing.
