Hi everyone! As I promised earlier I am going to share my personal granola recipe. So here it is!

Granola is something that I really enjoy making and eating. I prefer it for breakfast, paired with yoghurt and fruit.

One of the benefits of making it yourself is that you can personalize it endlessly. I use for example almonds in this recipe, but if you don’t like almonds you can add cashews or walnuts. I just want to give you a base to work on and everything else is up to you. Try to vary with dried fruits, nuts, grains and oats.

It’s also nice to adjust the flavours depending on the seasons; a cinnamon granola is great for fall. The smell that fills your house is absolutely amazing, you have to make it to believe it. I really hope you like the recipe!

So are you a granola follower or not? Let me know in the comments below…

Sincerely

H, a critical follower with a big heart for Fashion, Food and Other Fantastic things

3 cups regular oats

6 tbsp oil (I used coconut oil)

6 tbsp maple syrup

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup almonds

1/2 cup raisins (I used golden ones) 1/4 cup chia seeds (optional)

Combine the maple syrup, sugar and oil in a sauce pan and put on a low heat until sugar has disolved.

Chop the nuts to make sure the pieces aren't to big.

Put the chopped nuts in a large bowl, together with the pumpkin seeds and the oats.

Stir in the sugar mixture and make sure you mix it well.

Spread it out evenly on a baking sheat and bake it for around half an hour. Make sure to toss it around every 5-10 minutes, so it doesn't burn. Time can vary depending on every oven, but if your nuts are golden it should be alright!

Let it cool down a bit and add the raisins and/or other dried fruits ( dades, figs, abricots...).

Serve as breakfast, snack or dessert and enjoy!
