So this is my second article in my new, and already one of my favourite, series. Today I am taking a look at the Victoria Beckham show.

Who could ever think that one of the spice girls would become one of the most interesting designers of the moment? I absolutely love all of her collections. All of her garments are so sophisticated, elegant and feminine at the same time. I really admire her for that!

So she starts her show of with a check pattern. Not really something I expected from her, because she often goes for ā€˜simple’ colours. But I really like it, it’s like she’s stepping out of her comfort zone to show everyone what she’s capable of. I don’t think she still needs to do that, because she has shown that she’s far more than an ex-spice-girl.

Apart from the check pattern, she also has a more photographic one. It looks to me like a wave with a surfer. I don’t know how she came up with it, but I like it! Especially the black and white patterned dress is gorgeous!

Just as in the Mara Hoffman show, she combines flower prints with other prints. Now it’s with a check print and it’s a perfect example to prove that it can work. I love the idea, but it isn't as feminine and sophisticated as the other pieces.

This dress is one of my favourites! I adore the print in black and white, it's just amazing.

All pictures were taken by Luca Tombolini for Indigitalimages.com; I found them on Vogue.com: I don't own any of these, I just like them

Overall I am absolutely in love with the Victoria Beckham collection! She is a master in combining fabrics, textures and designs. I hope that one day I own one of her beautiful garments. So are you a follower or not? Let me know…

Sincerely

H, a critical Follower with a big heart for Fashion, Food and Other Fantastic things
