Winter equals cold and cold equals hot drinks, so that’s where I am talking about today. Nothing better then getting cosy on the sofa with something hot in your hands while watching your favourite movie. I love the classic drinks, but sometimes its nice to change things up. I choose my five favourite drinks of the moment. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

1: Hot apple juice with cinnamon and ginger.

This one is surprisingly good. This is my personal favourite. The only thing you have to do is: cut a piece of ginger and put it together with the apple juice and a cinnamon stick in a saucepan. Heat it up and enjoy.

2: Citrus and honey drink

I would recommend this drink if you have a sore throat. It’s a sort of a natural medicine. Take an orange and squeeze it, just as half a lemon. Add some zest to it and a teaspoon of honey. Mix it together and divide it in you mug(s). Poor hot water over it and give it a stir. This drink is very personal, so you can adjust the amount of honey, orange or lemon yourself!

3: Classic hot chocolate

I love to make some real hot chocolate. So no powder or chocolate-sticks involved. I heat up some milk in a saucepan and in the mean time I chop up the chocolate in little pieces. I like a mix a milk- and dark chocolate. When the milk is almost boiling I start string why adding the chocolate pieces. I keep mixing until everything is melted and mixed well. You can add some whipped cream and/or marshmallows on top.

4: Cinnamon almond milk

I love cinnamon in winter so here’s another drink that you need to try. You only have to heat up some almond milk and add some cinnamon. It’s really simple and delicious and it helps you to relax. A perfect drink for the evening or just before you go to bed.

5: Forest fruit tea

This is the simplest and most common drink of the five. But here a few little tricks: use fresh tea (the flavours are much stronger), add a dash of milk to your tea, when your throat hurts you can add some honey and lastly: the temperature of the water has to be around 90 degrees.

I hope you get some inspiration for your cosy evenings. Let me know in the comments which one is your favourite.

Lots of love
