TRENDmas #Day2: BROGUES

Hi everyone! On the second day of TRENDmas I am going to talk about Brogues. I absolutely love this trend! I have always been a big fan of the brogue/oxford kind of shoes. They are classy, feminine and so easy to combine. You can find them every season, but this year they where way more common than normal.

A little twist they added this year was the platform and/or structured sole. I can’t say that I always like the twist. Sometimes the shoes became less feminine and a bit too clumsy to me. But it really depends on every pair.

My favourite pairs are the ones in brown leather or with a small platform sole. You can perfectly wear them with a pair of skinny jeans, a nice dress or a skater skirt. You actually can’t go wrong, so to me it’s rather a ‘basic’ in your closet than a trend. But trends can turn into basics, can’t they?
