TRENDmas #Day 14: NATURAL FOODS

Today I decided to go for a food trend. Natural foods were huge in 2015, and I think they are here to stay. I love natural foods, just because I absolutely adore fruits and vegetables.

This trend was all over Instagram and social media. Together with the workout trend it’s the base of the new healthy lifestyle everybody tries to have.

Natural foods to me are foods that are natural, healthy, biological and purely cooked. With purely cooked I just mean that you can recognize the natural product. No smoothies, juices and weird preparations, just simple and easy.

On some point everything got too complicated to me. Everything became unrecognizable in this weird green juice or in that creamy paste. I love the fact that everybody is getting back to basics. Of course I also love super foods, but let’s admit that a lot of them are a bit overrated. In the end there’s nothing wrong with a good old apple or a banana. Do we really need to substitute them by gioji berries, acai bowls and kale?
I think this trend is something really good, it brings us back to the basics and makes us appreciate all the natural products we have even more.
